The Optimal Ball Pressure
At Bouncelock, we recommend to pressurize your Padel balls with 20 PSI and your Tennis balls with 29 PSI.
- New balls generally come with a pressure between 10 and 14 PSI and pressure above 14 PSI allows balls to recover pressure.
- It takes time for a ball to recover pressure through the pores in the rubber.
- Therefore, if you try to pressurize old balls, the balls will need some time in the tube to regain pressure.

How to lock in the Perfect Bounce...
Generally, for Padel balls, it's best to keep your new balls pressurized at 20 PSI.
For your Tennis balls, we recommend 29 PSI as the ideal pressure setting for your Bouncelock.
Keep in mind that too much pressure can also damage, break and then flatten your balls.
Depending on your target feeling for your balls, here are the recommended PSI settings:
- Slow Ball --> 11 PSI
- Medium Ball --> 15 PSI
- Medium-Fast Ball --> 24 PSI
- Fast Ball --> 29 PSI
How to revive old balls...
First and foremost, it is important to note that the quality of tennis and padel balls plays a huge roll for their recovery.
Old balls can be recovered but it is a slower process. Old balls will need a longer exposure to the pressure, so it is key to keep them in the Bouncelock for a few hours to ensure they also fully repressurize.
Nonetheless, Bouncelock cannot restore the felt on the outside of your balls or the rubber inside. Balls will naturally lose some of their rebound with the rubber ageing and weakening over time.
How to guarantee the longest ball lifecycle...
The key starting point for best possible results and long ball life are new balls, so they always remain in perfect condition.
Even with new balls, open the new can 48 hours before your game and pressurize them as recommended above in the Bouncelock.
It's key to pressurize your balls every time after your matches. Simply pop them into the Bouncelock and leave them in there until the next time you play. With the automatic mode your Bouncelock will pressurize your balls at a convenient time.
Ideally keep balls stored at room temperature. Excessive cold will lead to more air loss and reduce your balls' pressure and bounce.
You can play pressurized balls up to 4 times longer as if you weren't using Bouncelock.
How to pressurize in the best possible way...
There is no set time or amount of runs in the Bouncelock you have to apply. The important thing is that after each use you pressurize your balls and store them in the Bouncelock until the next time you play to protect them from any loss of pressure.
